Jose Ponce, Retired Army Veteran & Chief Executive Officer

Jose Ponce, Retired Army Veteran & Chief Executive Officer

With over 25 years of work experience, Jose is a skilled and dedicated leader in automation maintenance and construction engineering at Hunter Industries. His core competencies include operational planning, military training, and military operations. His mission is to oversee the maintenance operations of production machinery and to exceed the expectations of internal customers. Passionate about developing and challenging his staff, taking a proactive approach to operational improvements, and analyzing and interpreting operational and financial information. Jose brings a diverse perspective and experience to the team, having served in the US Army as a Construction Engineering Supervisor for 22 years and has traveled the world.

As an Automation Maintenance Leader at Hunter Industries, I lead a team of 12 for the Automation Maintenance Department. I ensure the proper functioning of production machinery and the satisfaction of internal customers. I take the initiative to save manning hours through team engagement and retention, thereby creating a positive team environment. I also leverage my skills in military training, operational planning, and military operations to manage complex and challenging projects, adhere to specifications, and comply with safety standards. I am always looking for opportunities to learn new skills and technologies, and to apply them to my work.

Alejandra Sotelo-Solis, Chief Operations Officer

Alejandra Sotelo-Solis, Chief Operations Officer

Alejandra R. Sotelo-Solis is the President & CEO of La Pluma Strategies, a community engagement consulting company she founded in 2017. She has a strong background in public service, having served a combined 14 years as a council member and Mayor of National City.

As Mayor, she focused on improving the quality of life in the city, supporting small businesses, and securing critical pandemic relief for the community. Alejandra also made significant progress in housing and initiated project labor agreement processes.

Professionally, Alejandra worked as the Age Friendly Communities Manager at The San Diego Foundation, where she promoted livable communities for all ages. She has also held positions at MANA de San Diego, UC San Diego Student Affairs and worked with CA State Assembly Members. A third-generation resident of National City, Alejandra is deeply connected to her community. She serves on the board of the SUHI Foundation, which provides college scholarships to Sweetwater High School students, and is involved in various organizations, such as San Diego MANA and the Latina Giving Circle.

She is also an active member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church and engages in social justice issues through the St. Anthony's Organizing Ministry. In addition to her professional and community work, Alejandra is married to Arturo Solis, a Trustee of the Sweetwater Union High School District. They reside in National City and are raising their daughters along with their family pets.

As a CEO / President, I have been helping clients achieve their career, life, and educational goals since 2017 Good Grace Consulting. I have a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership with a focus on HR Development from Chapman University, where I learned how to foster effective and inclusive teams and organizations. My core competencies include process improvement, LinkedIn learning, and human resources.

In my current role, I provide comprehensive coaching services, from evaluation to final offer, as well as resume review and interview coaching. I also partner with community organizations to deliver resume and LinkedIn workshops, and serve as a college liaison for diverse groups. I have been a speaker panelist for various events, sharing my insights and best practices on career development and leadership. I am passionate about empowering my clients to discover their God-given potential and leverage their unique skills and experiences. I believe that everyone deserves a fulfilling and meaningful career, and I am committed to supporting them in their journey.
